UF: Hollow fiber ultrafiltration (UF) membrane technology is to preserve public health, protect the environment and produce sustainable water supplies. By using physical barrier filtration to remove pathogens from water, UF membrane technology provides an effective way to purify water. Moreover, Ultrafiltration purification involves no chemicals and it does not take away all natural minerals such as calcium and magnesium in the water.

There are four filtration stages:

Stage 1: Sediment Filtration – Pre-treats water to removes such as sand, silt and rust particles.

Stage 2: Pre-carbon Filtration – Removes disagreeable taste and smell, 99.9% chlorine*, THM’s*, heavy metals*, volatile organic contaminants, pesticides and herbicides.

Stage 3: UF Membrane Filtration – Filters bacteria as well as microscopic impurities while keeping natural minerals to produce fresh water at all times accordingly.

Stage 4: Post-carbon Filtration – Made up by three materials such as Activated Carbon, Silver impregnated Carbon, and ceramic which once more removes organic chemicals and produce the purified water for excellent taste.

THM Trihalomethanes: Toxic chemical substances that consist of a methane molecule and one of the halogen elements fluorine, bromine, chlorine and iodine attached to three positions of the molecule. They usually have carcinogenic properties.

Heavy metals: Metals that have a density of 5.0 or higher and a high elemental weight. Most are toxic to humans, even in low concentrations.

UV: Ultraviolet (UV) light is electromagnetic radiation whose wavelength is longer than that of an X-ray but shorter than the violet end of the visible light.

UV is categorized into three types:

• UVA (315 - 400 nm) - the sort that brings about sun tanning.

• UVB (280 - 315 nm) - the sort that brings about sun burning and the risk of skin cancer.

• UVC (200 – 280 nm) - the sort that absorbed by DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid) which leads to genetic damage and to block the activation of bacteria and viruses which known as “Germicidal”.

WaterUnique is using UV technology within the range of UVC which its energy is emitted at 253.7 nm which is verified to be the most effective wavelength to kill bacteria. UV disturbs the normal structure of the DNA of bacteria and restrains their replication in cell mitosis – thus, sterilization function is brought into play.

Với cộng nghệ lọc UF, nước sẽ được lọc qua 4 bước:

Bước 1: Bộ lọc căn (sediment) - tầng lọc này sẽ ngăn chặn tất cả các tạp chất như: cát bùn, rĩ sét, siêu vi khuẩn gây bệnh cho cơ thể. Lổ để thấm nước qua tầng lọc này nhỏ hơn 15 lần so với các kích thước của hạt cát và siêu vi khuẩn gây bệnh có trong nước.

Bước 2:  Bộ lọc than hoạt tính đầu tiền (Pre-carbon) - khử được tất cả các chất như: Clo, kim loại nặng, thuốc trừ sâu và các tạp chất được tiết ra từ dầu mỏ...

Bước 3: Bộ lọc diệt khuẩn (U/F Membrane) - Tất cả các siêu vi khuẩn gây bệnh sẽ bị tiêu diệt 99.9% bởi màng siêu lọc U/F. Tăng cường khoáng chất có lợi cho cơ thể.

Bước 4: Bộ lọc than hoạt tính lần 2 (Post-carbon) - Được cấu tạo bởi 3 loại nguyên liệu như: Than hoạt tính, hợp kim bạc, ceramic giúp cho nước được lọc lại và ngăn khuẩn 1 lần nữa và khử tất cả các mùi do hệ thống gây ra. Tăng thêm vị ngọt tự nhiên chi nước.
